Achill Island Day Tour
Your tour begins with a comfortable boat crossing to Dugort Pier, your landing point on Achill Island. The journey itself is part of the adventure, offering coastal views and the chance to spot marine wildlife along the way.
Croaghaun Cliff Tour
Your adventure begins at Dugort Pier on Achill Island, where our boat will take you along the rugged northern coastline. Pass iconic sights including Sliabh Mór, dramatic seal caves, Annagh Beach, and Annagh Head, before reaching the towering Croaghaun Cliffs, Ireland’s highest sea cliffs and the 3rd highest in Europe at 688 m (2,257 ft).
Blacksod – Inishkea Island Tour
Departing from Blacksod Pier, this scenic boat trip brings you to the remote Inishkea Islands, a group of uninhabited islands believed to be named after Saint Kea, who once lived there. The islands are made up of Inishkea North and Inishkea South, both offering a unique glimpse into Ireland’s island heritage.
Sea Safari
Departing from Blacksod Pier, this two hour Sea Safari explores the rich marine life and striking coastline of Blacksod Bay. The tour passes Blacksod Lighthouse, the historic granite quarry, and the coastal village of Surgeview, offering fantastic photo opportunities along the way
Sea Angling Tours
Wild West Boat Tours has over 30 years of sea angling experience in Blacksod Bay, welcoming fishing parties from around the world. We cater for everyone, from first-time novices to highly experienced anglers, offering a professional and enjoyable fishing experience in one of Ireland’s richest fishing grounds.
Shark Fishing
Shark fishing in Blacksod Bay offers an exciting adventure targeting Blue sharks and Porbeagle sharks from June to October, with August and September as the peak months. We create our own Rubby Dubby using fresh mackerel, fish oil, and bran, and use whole fresh mackerel as bait. All fishing is catch and release, and tagging is performed as part of the Irish Shark Tagging Programme for scientific research.
